He had kept a quiet about his separation from Miranda Kerr during an interview earlier that day, but by afternoon on Friday Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom spoke about their shock split.
The 36-year-old actor and the 30-year-old model - who have two-year-old son Flynn together - announced on Friday that their three-year marriage has been over for a few months.
Heading to his Broadway play - Romeo and Juliet - the film star expressed his confidence that the pair will always remain close. Speaking succinctly to TMZ, he said: 'We're not friends. We're family.'

The A-list couple admitted their romance ended 'amicably' and they will continue to support each other in raising their child.

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star began dating Victoria's Secret beauty Miranda in 2007 and the couple tied the knot three years later in July 2011, before welcoming their son in January 2011.
Orlando recently put his Los Angeles home in the Hollywood Hills on the market for £3 million.

Miranda and Orlando were last spotted together in late September when she supported him at the opening night of a new Broadway production of Romeo and Juliet, in which he plays the titular
